My review
I thought this book was absolutely outstanding!! The plot was well thought out, well written and full of twists which had me wanting to read more. I felt the storyline resembled that of the Madeline McCann story- four year old girl goes missing on holiday, other children present but none of them disappeared, parents on holiday with friends etc. But it allowed you to have an insight into what it must have felt like to be present when a huge tragedy such as a child going missing occurred.
I enjoyed the way the plot was told through first hand accounts of all the people who were present as it gave the story a more intimate feel. However, there were times when I got a bit confused regarding as sometimes the story went back and forth between different times and people's accounts.
The ending was brilliant and I really didn't see that coming even though I rate myself as quite a good judge of character! I can only hope that Alex Marwood will be writing a sequel to this book, as I feel that there is more than enough secrets and dramas to continue this stunning and riveting plot!!
5 out of 5 stars.
